Holy Names University (HNU) invites candidates to apply for the position of Advancement Coordinator for the office of University Advancement. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who is interested in higher education and is seeking career advancement in university fundraising.

The Advancement Coordinator shall provide the full range of support and assistance to the Office of University Advancement, including the Annual Fund, Alumni Relations, Corporate/Foundation Relations (grant development support), Major Gifts, and Planned Giving.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Process gifts and pledges (enter data, deposit checks, charge credit cards)
Prepare gift acknowledgement letters, pledge reminders, birthday cards, and other correspondence
Maintain alumni/donor database (Raiser’s Edge), continually updating and correcting data
Create fundraising reports and other database reports as needed
Maintain foundation, corporation, Legacy Society, and individual donor files; assist Director of Advancement, Director of Alumni/ae Relations and Associate Annual Fund Director with donor research/reporting as needed
Handle mailings and mail merges, including solicitations and event invitations. Assist with production and mailing of annual appeal letters
Assist with special events and other activities: Track RSVPs, maintain guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials, staff events, fulfill other duties as assigned
Handle all administrative details related to Advancement Committee meetings and to individual donor/trustee meetings with advancement staff (i.e. prepare and distribute notices, agendas, and minutes, book rooms, reserve parking, etc.)
Foster understanding of the efforts of the department throughout the HNU community
Facilitate communication between Office of Advancement and other University departments
Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings for Director of Advancement with external stakeholders
Consistent presence in the Office of Advancement; The Advancement Coordinator will be the “go to” for external stakeholders
Desired skills, experience, and qualifications include: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field; proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM database management - Raiser’s Edge preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills and phone manner; ability to organize and prioritize work; ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
