Nurse Administrators effectively manage complex departments and health care organizations with legal and ethical issues, finance, policy, quality improvement, and strategic planning.
Nurses completing this program will learn how to:
- collaborate in the design of healthcare systems
- contribute to the executive leadership of an organization
- develop critical thinking and problem analysis skills
Classes are held on a monthly, weekend-intensive schedule.
After completion of 38 units (18 units core courses and 20 units nurse administration specialty courses) the graduate receives a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree as an administrator.
The MSN degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation).
