New tuition reduction and credit-by-assessment program

Today, the value of a college degree is only greater in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, as millions of Americans seek to prepare themselves for career changes or advancement. In recognition of this, Holy Names has announced a tuition reduction for our adult degree-completion programs.

Students considering adult degree-completion programs in the Bay Area can find a home at Holy Names University.

Potential students qualify as adult degree-completion (ADC) students if they have 24 or more transferrable credits or units. Our ADC programs have shorter terms than traditional programs as well, which allows you to accelerate the completion of your degree.

We’re proud to offer an array of ADC options that can be completed within 2 years. Some of our adult degree-completion programs for working adults are also entirely online.

Adult Degree-Completion BA in Business

We care about your personal and professional goals. A business degree is one of the most versatile and valuable backgrounds in many fields. That’s why we offer two focuses: marketing and management. We want to prepare you for the future, and our alumni find success in an array of industries after leaving HNU. Eligible students can even take MBA classes while they finish their BA online.

Adult Degree-Completion BA in Interdisciplinary Studies

Our ADC interdisciplinary program is the perfect fit for passionate students who want to focus on more than one subject. Exposure to diverse perspectives and skills creates a well-rounded education with applications in fields like law, education and public service. The interdisciplinary studies program lets you build a unique major by blending two concentrations. You can expect to take classes that sharpen your written and oral communication skills, as well as introducing new ideas and topics.

Adult Degree-Completion BA in Psychology

HNU’s ADC psychology program hones valuable skills to prepare you for work in a variety of fascinating industries. Make a difference in fields like counseling, law, ministry or clinical psychology. Learn from stellar faculty members who develop a relationship with you while teaching lessons on human interaction, development and behavior.

ADN (RN) to BSN

As the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) became the standard for the nursing field, we designed our ADN (RN) to BSN degree completion for working adults. You’re busy, and we see the value in your work. That’s why we’ve implemented hybrid learning environments and a fast track to getting your degree. You could earn your BSN in just 15 months.

Adult Degree-Completion BA in Liberal Studies

With approval from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC), our liberal studies ADC program prepares you to receive credentials to teach multiple subjects. Eligible students can take classes toward those credentials while enrolled at HNU. This accelerates your further education while you work toward your bachelor’s degree completion in California.

Scholarships

Our institution offers a variety of scholarships. ADC students in qualifying programs have access to scholarships like:

  • Logan ScholarshipThis fund reduces recipients’ tuition costs by half. Applicants must plan to enter public education or another public organization. A 3.00 minimum GPA is also necessary for consideration.
  • Catholic High School Scholarship: Students who graduated from St. Elizabeth, Bishop O’Dowd, St. Joseph or Holy Names high schools may receive scholarships in amounts up to $5,000.

Other funds include the HNU Grant and the HNU Award, which are both based on need.
