Start strong at HNU

During a Hawk Day, you'll connect with fellow incoming new students, explore ways to get involved at HNU, and learn more about the resources and people that are here to support you along the way. Attending Hawk Day is required for new undergraduate students.

Sign Up for A Hawk Day! 

Please use your Applicant Status Portal login credentials to register.

Pre-Hawk Day Requirements

Students are encouraged to sign up for a Hawk Day date as soon as they have submitted their Intent to Enroll form. All students must complete the following items prior to their scheduled Hawk Day:

  1. Submit your enrollment deposit and confirm you have received your financial aid award letter.
  2. Submit the financial agreement.
  3. Complete the mathematics placement assessment (sign-ups are accessible by clicking on a Hawk Day date above).
  4. Take a writing assessment. In addition to math, HNU requires students to take a writing assessment. Please follow the instructions and submit a short essay through our Student Writing Assessment Canvas page.
  5. Submit your final transcripts.
  6. Speak with an academic advisor by scheduling an appointment.
