Our Graduate Programs Take Place in Oakland and Online

Our Oakland master’s programs include:

HNU students enjoy the unique benefits of attending HNU in each of our graduate programs. Besides our scholarships, those advantages include:

  • Individualized attention: Class sizes at HNU are small. Most average to just 15 students. With fewer students per class, instructors can give you the time and attention you need to succeed in your program, and in your job field.
  • Stellar faculty members: Our faculty members are dedicated, practicing professionals in their content areas. Each instructor has a wealth of knowledge backed by their experience, and they freely share that knowledge with students.
  • Accelerated and flexible programs: We designed our graduate programs for working adults. Several programs feature flexible, online, or hybrid schedules. Many also have an accelerated track so you can earn your degree faster.

HNU Graduate Program Scholarships

Many students attending Bay Area graduate schools rely on scholarships to afford their education. At Holy Names, we offer several scholarships that benefit students in various programs:

  • The Logan Scholarship: This fund provides students who want to teach in public schools with a 50% tuition discount. Note that you cannot combine this scholarship with others.
  • The Catholic Educators Scholarship: This scholarship applies to students who currently work as full-time administrators or teachers in Catholic schools.
  • MBA Scholarships: Eligible applicants can receive a scholarship of 35% or higher.
  • Partnership Discounts: Nursing students employed in a partnered healthcare system can qualify for a 15% tuition discount.
  • Educational Therapy Program Scholarships: Eligible applicants can receive a scholarship of 35% or higher.

At Holy Names University, we believe that education should be accessible to passionate students. That’s why we offer our students scholarship opportunities that make completing their program possible.

HNU’s administration also commits itself to our social justice mission. One of the values intrinsic to our mission is contributing to the common good. Alumni of our graduate programs serve as teachers, nurses, and other figures. These graduates have an immeasurable impact on their communities.
