Jackie (Bradshaw Stevenson)
Jackie (Bradshaw Stevenson) Kennedy can't speak highly enough about HNU's Weekend College program (WECO). A single mother working as an executive assistant in the financial services industry, she found doors to advancement closed to her since she lacked a college degree. So in 1995 she enrolled in WECO and spent the next five years of Friday nights and Saturdays earning her BA in business management and communications. By graduation day, she had risen to vice president. She then spent another two years at WECO getting her MBA in Management and Leadership. "I'm very proud of my HNU education," she acclaims. "I'd stack it up against any university or name-brand school. The intimate setting gives you the opportunity to forge relationships with your professors. The teaching approach allows you to combine what you're learning with critical thought. And HNU's humanistic focus taught me how to be a citizen of the planet. It was a pivotal time in my life. The motto of Holy Names is 'liberating minds, transforming lives.' I am a shining example of how the HNU experience truly changes one's life." Today, Jackie is a vice president and senior relationship manager of the Real Estate Deposit Services Group at Union Bank and lives in Pleasant Hill with her husband, Jim, her son, stepson, and two dogs.
