Dr. Aimee Paulson
Dr. Paulson has been faculty at HNU since 2011 and became the Graduate Chair and FNP Program director in 2018. She earned her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner track specialty at Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2007. In 2014, Dr. Paulson completed the DNP Health Innovations and Leadership Track at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. The curriculum in her doctoral studies had strong underpinnings for transformational leadership, change theory and health policy. Aside from maintaining full-time clinical practice in family medicine, Dr. Paulson has been very active in advocating for the NP Profession and the communities NPs serve. She was appointed the Health Policy Chair for the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) in 2018 and completed her term in October of 2020. Currently, she is President Elect for CANP and is Holy Names University’s IRB Chair.
