Anna Hennings, MA, CMPC

With her master’s degree in sport psychology, Anna is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) who maintains a private mental performance coaching practice in Portland, Oregon. She works primarily with indoor and beach volleyball athletes and programs but consults with a variety of youth, collegiate, adult, and professional athletes and teams. Anna also facilitates mental skills workshops and individual coaching sessions as a sport psychology expert for Voice In Sport (VIS), an online platform and community built to arm female athletes with the information and tools they need to have a safe and empowered journey in sport. Previously, she was a mental performance coach for the top-10, Division 1 beach volleyball team at Pepperdine University and worked with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood in Central Texas as a mental performance expert and resilience trainer.

Before her career in sport psychology, Anna spent about a decade in professional writing, editing, and executive communications training while living in Oakland, CA. She received her bachelor of science from UC Davis.

Anna’s been vegan for 10 years, adores her two cats and two nephews, loves watching college sports (especially volleyball and football), and gets too easily sucked into true crime podcasts on road trips.
