Dr. Dave Laughlin, PhD
Dave Laughlin, PhD, has over 15 years of experience as a college instructor and sport psychology consultant. He earned his Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from Ithaca College and his PhD in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is currently the Director of Assessment and Skill Acquisition for Courtex Performance, a company devoted to mental skills training, coaching education, and player development. Dave is in charge of Courtex’s assessment and research operations, and has worked closely with players, coaches, and executives across the NBA, MLB, and NCAA. Additionally, he has provided NBA Pre-Draft consulting services to multiple organizations, including the Miami Heat, Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks. Prior to Courtex, he spent almost a decade as faculty member, first at Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Alabama) and then at Grand Valley State University (Allendale, Michigan). A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dave currently lives in Freeville, NY with his wife and daughter.
