David Nix

Mr. Nix has held roles of increasing responsibility in sales, sales management and marketing for over 20 years in the healthcare manufacturing industry. He is currently a Vice President of Sales for Z-Medica, a market leading developer of bleeding control products. Prior to joining Z-Medica, Mr. Nix held numerous sales and leadership positions, with a focus on executive-level selling and negotiating to hospitals, GPOs, and IHNs. Mr. Nix has worked for large medical device companies such as Johnson and Johnson, Ethicon and Bristol Myers Squibb, and start-up companies such as Etruria and Molnlycke Healthcare. Mr. Nix also has expertise in recruiting, hiring, training and retaining top talent. Moreover, he has been successful in the creation of several mentorship programs within the organizations he has worked with.

Mr. Nix is also a small business owner with a focus on the distribution of medical supplies on the west coast. His customer base includes major medical centers, surgery centers and long term care facilities.

In addition, Mr. Nix serves on the Advisory Board of First Care Provider which is a non-profit public access prevention organization which prepares communities for adverse events which lead to medical emergencies. He also serves on the Cal Aggie Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee. Mr. Nix was voted to the All-America Baseball team twice as a college baseball player at UC Davis, and has since been inducted into both the Cal Aggie Athletic Hall of Fame and the UC Davis Baseball Hall of Fame.

Mr. Nix resides in Danville, CA with his wife and three children.

Education:

Mr. Nix holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis in Rhetoric and Communication with a minor in Education. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, CA. He has also completed an Executive Education program in Leadership Decision Making from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Mass.
