Jasmine Nicole Oates, MS, ATC, CSCS
Jazzy received her B.S. in Athletic Training from Lincoln Memorial University and then attended Barry University where she obtained an M.S. in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology. Jazzy has several years of both research and applied experience in the field of sport, performance, and exercise psychology. Her research specializes in performance anxiety, sport injury, sport transitions, and routine adherence. As a part of her applied experience, Jazzy has worked as a mental performance coach with various populations including collegiate and youth athletes, coaches, business owners, and currently works full-time with military personnel.
Jazzy’s consulting style embraces holistic, person-centered therapy, and she aims to bring that viewpoint to the academic advising process to assist students in their academic, personal, and professional development.
Jazzy is originally from Franklin, Tennessee, but is currently residing in Temple, Texas. In her free time she enjoys going to the lake, making soap, trying new food recipes, volleyball, and stating obscure movie quotes at the perfect time.
