Professional Background
Kaimare, known to many as Kai, was born and raised in the southern most isles of the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago. Passionate about sports and assisting others reach their full potential, Kai has over 10 years of experience performing in a variety of leadership roles within the fields of sport psychology, mental health, and business. Some of his accomplishments include expanding evidence-based therapy programs to operate in multiple cities statewide by supporting the launch and training of several high performing teams across Virginia. With a proficiency in spearheading highvalued projects, Kai also founded and launched the Integrative Health Center at the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex in 2020 that offers healthcare-related services such as counseling, nutrition therapy, massage therapy, and strength conditioning services.
Besides managing several counseling, fitness and sport related programs, Kai has presented his work at various national and state conferences such as the United Soccer Coaches Convention, Annual Sport Psychology Conference, National Coaching Conference, and the Illinois Counseling Association. Dedicated to helping other professionals grow and pursue a career within the field of counseling and sport psychology, Kai has also supervised and taught at various graduate programs including Northwestern University and Holy Names University. Currently, Kai is the Managing Director at The Performance Pursuit, which is a sport and performance psychology consulting company that he co founded in 2015, that provides mental training services to individuals, teams, and organizations across the country. Kai is also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) administered by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia.
