Dr Praba Koomson is a motivated and talented health care leader with experience across the care continuum, and expertise in implementation of strategic, operational and innovative approaches to care delivery. She specializes in Population Health and Interprofessional Collaborative Practice.
She is also an educator driven to inspire the pursuit of academic and personal excellence by creating challenging and engaging learning environments to promote life-long practitioners and scholars. She has a proven track record in the development and implementation of innovative educational approaches to support diverse teaching/learning settings. Her passion is to straddle the academia/practice interface to support translation of learning into practice. Dr. Koomson obtained her baccalaureate nursing education from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Master of Science in General Practice & Primary Health from the University of Westminster, United Kingdom, a Post-Masters Certificate in Nursing Education from the Valley Foundation School of Nursing-San Jose State University, and her DNP from the University of California Fresno in collaboration with San Jose State University.
