In accordance with the CDC recommendation to cancel large group gatherings during this time, Holy Names University has postponed this event until further notice.
This year, Holy Names University’s Social Justice Forum will feature keynote speakers from the Oakland community, a panel discussion of equity in higher education, and a session highlighting how social justice will be emphasized in HNU’s Academic Strategic Plan.
In keeping with the Core Values of our Foundresses, the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the mission of Holy Names University is driven by our dedication to justice, our commitment to liberating action, and service to marginalized populations.

Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), an organization that works with white people to critically understand racism and offer ways to contribute to antiracist work, will host a workshop.
HNU’s Center for Social Justice and Civic Engagement will report back on their Tutwiler, Mississippi and Puerto Rico alternative Spring Break immersion trips.
