Cool Down on our Lower Level
On hot days (like the ones we have been experiencing this week), one of the most comfortable places on campus is the lower level of Cushing Library. It's not as pretty as our main level, but it's just the ticket when you need a cool place on a warm day to get some studying done. The lower level has four study rooms (see our website at library.hnu.edu to reserve space in advance) and a variety of other seating. The open areas are designated "ultra-quiet zones".
Mark Twain in the West: An Exhibition
Cushing Library and the 2015 International Society for Humor Studies Conference (held on campus in July) hosted an exhibit of Mark Twain’s life and works in California and Nevada from 1861 to 1868, organized by Victor Fischer of the University of California’s Bancroft Library. It will be on display through at least September (exact date TBD). The exhibit starts in the Library’s Glass Lounge and continues on our lower level. Drop on in and take a look!
Thanks for using Cushing Library!
