The Disconnect Experiment
Thursday, October 10, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm: HNU Visiting scholar Anne E. Patrick, SNJM, Ph.D. will lead a short film showing and a discussion about a student experiment on avoiding all computers for several weeks; discussion of computer addiction, multitasking, etc. Cookies and beverages provided.
Affordable Care Act Discussion
Monday, October 14, 12:30 pm – 1:20 pm: A lunchtime brownbag discussion of “Obamacare,” led by Dr. Charles Sarno and Vishu Lalchandani. Sponsored by Latin American and Latino/a Studies and the Center for Social Justice and Civic Engagement. Light refreshments served.

Tuesday, November 12, 7 – 8 pm – Following a talk in the VCPA (5:30 – 7 pm), there will be a book signing with a companion photo exhibit in the Cushing Library’s Glass Lounge. Sponsored by the Asia Pacific Peace Studies Institute (APPSI). Light refreshments served.
