Oakland's HNU students participate in the Model United Nations of the Far West

In April, 2021, HNU participated in the Model United Nations of the Far West (MUNFW). The MUNFW offers students a chance to role-play as delegates in different UN committees. The theme for the 70th annual session of the MUNFW was “The Sustainable Development Goals: Leave No One Behind.” HNU’s four student delegates represented the Dominican Republic:

  • Ronald Alvarado (General Assembly)
  • Justice Berumen (Security Council)
  • Jake Creamer  (Environmental Agency)
  • Logan McNamar  (World Health Organization)

Ronald Alvarado was awarded the Mike McBride Outstanding Resolution Certificate.
