Dear Campus Community,
I am pleased to announce that effective today, Jeanine Hawk, EdD, assumes the role of Vice President for Finance and Administration. In this position she will oversee the Business Office, Human Resources, and Student Accounts. In addition, she will be a member of the President’s Cabinet and serve as staff liaison for the Board of Trustees’ Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees.
Over the past 25+ years, Jeanine has dedicated her career to providing holistic support to education serving in a variety of senior level financial and administrative positions at community colleges in Oregon and California as well as serving as VP for Administration and Chief Financial Officer for Alliant International University prior to its move from the Bay Area to Southern California.
Jeanine earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from San Francisco State University, her Master of Business Administration from Southern Oregon University, and her BA in Social Sciences from UC Irvine.
Jeanine’s dedication to students and their success led her to take her position as an HNU adjunct professor this past fall and spring. However, her connection with the university runs deeper—she bears an HNU-approved last name (Hawk) and her mother attended Holy Names College for 2 years before transferring to USF to finish her degree.
Jeanine is joining the University at a critical time, and I believe her depth of experience and passion for student success in their education will be of great benefit for Holy Names as we, along with all higher education, address demographic and post-Pandemic change.
Please join me in extending a heartfelt welcome to Jeanine as she begins her journey with us.
Sincerely,
Mike Groener
President
