Oakland's Holy Names University named one of the “Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs”

(Oakland, CA — June 10, 2021) — Holy Names University has been selected as one of the 30 “Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs” by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine. This is the second time HNU has been honored with this distinction in the eight years the magazine has published these awards.
The recognition is based on results of an online survey that examined categories such as family friendliness, salary/benefits, and professional development opportunities with a focus on workplace diversity, staffing practices, and work environment.
Says Laura Lyndon, Vice President for Student Affairs at Holy Names University, “I am so proud and honored to work with the outstanding Student Affairs team at Holy Names University. Their deep commitment to cultivating an inclusive, anti-racist, and student-centered culture manifests in all aspects of their work, and during this past year, their creativity in meeting the needs of students both on and off campus reflected this commitment on every level.”
These results were published with an accompanying report in the June 10 edition of Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
