CIC Intergenerational Connections Grant
President Watson was notified by the CIC Intergenerational Connections Grant that Holy Names University was selected from an applicant pool of more than 90 institutions to receive an award in the amount of $13,000 from CIC's Intergenerational Connections: Students Serving Older Adults program supported by the AARP Foundation. Lizbeth J. Martin, PhD, extends her thanks to Praba Koomson, assistant professor of nursing, for initiating the pursuit of the CIC grant.

It is with fondness and gratitude that we think of Toni Locke, teacher, mentor, community organizer, researcher, story-teller, and friend of so many in the Kodaly community. Toni passed away in February, 2015 at age 97.

Holy Names University Golf Qualified for the NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional
Holy Names University Golf Qualified for the NCAA Division II South Central/West RegionalOn Friday, April 28, the Holy Names University Golf team learned that it qualified for the NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional. As the University is in its first year as an active NCAA Division II member, this was the first NCAA postseason berth awarded to an athletic team at HNU based on regular season performance.

HNU Athletics adds Track & Field
Holy Names University will be adding Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field, Effective for the 2017 - 2018 academic year. HNU will compete as a member of the Pacific West Conference within NCAA Division II. Initially, the Hawks will only compete in running events, but will implement field events in fall 2018.
