Student Experience
At Holy Names, our students enjoy small class sizes. In each course, you’ll receive individualized attention that helps you achieve your learning goals. Our faculty members are experts in their fields. In fact, 90% of HNU’s faculty have completed the highest degree in their field of study. These instructors know you by name and, over the course of your education, you’ll develop a personal relationship with them. Those connections are important inside the classroom and long after graduation.
Our hybrid ADN to MSN program meets one weekend per month (three weekends per semester). We’ve designed the program as a flexible option for students who have other commitments, like careers and families. You’ll attend physical and virtual classes over the course of two to three years. We use inventive teaching strategies to help our students receive the modern training and clinical experience they’ll need in their chosen health professions. Learning opportunities include simulations and employment in partnered medical organizations.
When you pursue your ADN to MSN, you can do so with a concentration in nursing education and nursing administration. Adding a specialization to your MSN provides focused opportunities. If you choose a subject for emphasis, you’ll have a tailored curriculum designed to prepare you for a career in a particular area of interest. Those schedules combine core nursing classes with concentrated classes in your specialty.

We strive to create many opportunities for our students to receive financial aid because we believe that education should be accessible. We offer program-specific scholarships and other funds for Hawks who qualify.
Many students in our ADN to MSN programs in California enjoy hospital partnerships. Students who work in certain medical settings can receive a discount worth 15% of their tuition costs.
