Happy New Year and Welcome to Spring Semester at HNU

Dear community members,

Welcome to spring semester at Holy Names University. I want to extend a special welcome to our new Hawks and share some thoughts with all of you as we enter the new year.

While COVID-19 continues to challenge our society and our community in profound ways, I have many reasons to be hopeful for a bright 2021. Here are just a few:

• This year, we will offer our students programs they have asked us for, including an Ethnic Studies major and a concentration in Computer Science.
• We will offer the parents of our students the opportunity to take courses at HNU at no cost through the HNU Parent Promise program. Check your email or HNU social media and website for our official program announcement tomorrow.
• We will continue to offer our community the chance to hear from acclaimed speakers on the topic of co-creating an anti-racist society through our Soaring Toward Justice Speaker Series.
• And now that we have had plenty of practice using technology to communicate, we will stay well connected virtually until we are able to gather in person again.

There is a lot to look forward to this semester at Holy Names University, and I wish you all a happy and healthy new year.
